According to the Sales Department, KOSUN offered totally five sets of solids control systems to Yantai Jereh, three amoong which were about to be sent soon.

KOSUN Attends Russia International Oil and Gas Equipment and Technology Industrial Exhibition


During June 23nd-27th, 2010, the four-person sales team of Xi'an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. came to Russia and participated in the 14th Russia International Oil and Gas Equipment and Technology Industrial Exhibition, the team led by Mr Geng Feng, the company's general manager and Mr Liu Yiwei, the company's sales manager.
The most influential and the largest oil &gas and petrochemical equipment exhibition was held by ZAO exhibition company and its scale has been increasing since its establishment in 1986. KOSUN Wins Two Solids Control System of XJ750 Workover Rig



After KOSUN won 2 sets of fully configured 70D Solids Control System from GWDC, KOSUN signed another contract of 750 Workover Rig Solids Control Equipment with national drilling contractor in Egypt. In doing so, KOSUN has further opened markets in North Africa, and also created a new international market pattern.

Oilfield decanter centrifuge s are used to extract (dewater) solid materials from liquids when they are mixed together in slurry. A main drive motor supplies power to turn the centrifuge. AC drives are commonly used to power the main drive motor. There are several different types of decanter centrifuges, such as: Vertical, horizontal, or scroll (conveyor).

3. Develop high torque at very low speeds.
 
4. Two motor applications, one for the bowl and one for the scroll.

6. The scroll is usually in continuous regeneration, as it runs at a slower speed than the bowl and is pulled along.
 
7. Torque limiting on the scroll is very important.
 
8. Some configurations require zero-speed operation of the scroll (differential gearbox).
 
9. Dynamic braking or regenerative modules may be required if the bowl is NOT driven by a drive.
 
10.Explosion-proof environments.

Integrated electronic dynamic braking is used to bring the centrifuge to a stop without the need for brake pads.
 

 
KOSUN DC drive features such as Dwell, Stall Prevention, and Feed Forward work together to develop required torque and speed required to power a centrifuge filled with dense slurry. KOSUN desander is used as the 2nd stage of solids control for drilling mud, which makes separations between 45 and 75 microns. Desanders have no moving parts. The larger the internal diameter of the desander is, the greater the amount of drilling fluids it is able to process and the larger the size of the solids removed. A desander with a (10 inches (250 mm) cone) is able to remove 50% of solids within the 40-50 μm (micrometre) range at a flow rate of 500 US gallons per minute (32 L/s), whilea desilter (4 inches (100 mm) Cone) is able to remove 50% of solids within the 15-20 μm range at a flow rate of 60 US gallons per minute (3.8 L/s). Micro-fine separators are able to remove 50% of solids within the 10-15 μm range at a flow rate of 15 US gallons per minute (0.95 L/s). A desander is typically positioned next-to-last in the arrangement of solids control equipment, with a decanter centrifuge as the subsequent processing unit. Oilfield mud desander s are preceded by gas busters, gumbo removal equipment (if utilized), shale shaker, mud cleaner (if utilized) and a vacuum degasser. Desanders are widely used in oilfield drilling. Practice has proved that hydrocyclone desander is a kind equipment of economic and effective.

China KOSUN VD series vacuum degasser of solids control system


Introduction of DC vacuum degasser
VD series Vacuum Degasser is a special-purpose device and a new type one for the treatment of gas in the drilling fluids. It can separate various gas in drilling fluid. Meanwhile, it will recover mud weight efficiently, keep drilling fluid property steady. Vacuum degasser also can be used as big mud agitator, and adaptable for various mud system.

The vacuum degasser is a high-efficiency in-line module that removes dissolved gases from HPLC solvents. Its unique design assures reliable continuous operation and the highest level of continuous performance available without the need for helium degassing. Up to five solvent lines may be degassed simultaneously by one unit. The extremely low internal volum of each Teflon AFchannle offers very quick equilibration and very short startup times compared with PTFE degassing channles which have the same degassing efficiency.

The work principle of vacuum degasser of drilling fluids system

The vacuum degasser uses the suction function of the vacuum pump to form the negative pressure in the vacuum tank. Under the pressure of atmosphere, the drilling fluid enters into hollow shaft from suction line, and then to be gathered by the umbrella slices around of the hollow shaft to toss to tank skin in spurting.
